3 Time World Superbike Champ Troy Bayliss recently held a special invite flattrack race at his home town track in Australia. The track isn't your standard flatrack oval but had a dog-leg down one of the straight aways. They bikes looked more like supermoto bikes too with 17" wheels and what looked like rain tires. Michael Kirkness, an Americal pro flattracker took the win. Troy Herfoss took 2nd. Herfoss is currently racing superbikes but won a 450 supermoto championship in the states in 2005 I believe. Jarryd Oram, a top Australian flatracker, placed 3rd and event organiser Bayliss finished 4th.
