Since the forks on my bike arent the stock units the steering stops didn't match up and the fork legs were hitting the fuel tank. My solution for this was to use two M10 socket head bolts to act as the stops. I marked up the bottom triple clamp where the face of the steering stop on the frame laid where I wanted the steering to stop. Then I measured out where the center of the bolt needed to be. Drilled, tapped and installed the bolts. It worked out pretty good and is a nice clean solution.
